You get back to your room to get dressed. Still a bit worn, you grab the first pair of pants you find the cupboard, some light blue jeans. You struggle putting them on; the impact on your head must have been more significant than you'd have imagined. Finally, you manage to pull them up. You fiddle a belt through the loops before looking for your wallet.

Julianne is still cleaning the kitchen, so go outside to wait for. A lukewarm breeze circulates fails to circulate the warm and damp summer air that clings to you like a moist flannel. You immediately begin to sweat. Ten minutes later, Julianne leaves the cabin. She wears a pastel green sleeveless dress along with some linen summer shoes. Her hair is tied back into a pony tail, and she wears sunglasses so large it appears like they cover half her face. She looks half her age, and before you know it, you catch yourself staring at her - and so does she. Oh no. Not again.

Instead of getting mad like you expected, your mother grins. Your embarressment seems to amuse her. "Can't take your eyes off me, can you? Or did you mistake me for someone else because your view was not obstructed?" With her thumb and index finger, she forms a circle with small opening and holds it in front of one eye.

"Mom!" you shout, and because you can't think of anything else to say, again: "Mom."

Still grinning, Julianne tells you to get in the car. You buckle up. The street is a five minute drive away from the country road that leads to the two towns in the vicinity, one in either direction. At the mouth of the small path, Julianne waits for the traffic to pass. You:
