You shuffle over to the soldier his mask and helmet now rest on the floor next to him, his face is fascinating, he has the bluest eyes you'd ever seen... his hair blonde but with tints of silver. Scars ran stories across his face of battles he'd fought hard through.
He rests his hand on your shoulder and touches the back of your head. "Avie... what happened?" You sigh and tell him about what happened so far but before that you could remember nothing. He was so easy to talk to. You felt at ease in his arms.
His steely gaze blurs you could notice the deep thought he was in.
"Ava, you are Ava Callisto. Corporal of the 36th brigade of the Australian Empire's Army. Your unit went missing on patrol about three weeks ago. Your vehicles had been turned into a giant possum nest by the time we got there... there was signs of a gun fight and an explosion. We found some of your units remains, but not you, Private Fielding or Sargent Nicht" He reminisced
"So who are you in the scheme of things" You say trying to take in all the information.
"I'm Captain Desmond Nicht... your partner..."He sits forward and strokes your face.
"So why am I here?" you say getting even more confused.
"We had reports of a gang running with advanced military weaponry and you had been sighted running with them" He said stroking your hair.
"We had to be sure it wasn't you, you'll be out of here soon... I promise." Desmond sits up and kisses the side of your face.
The door clicks closed again. You hear another heated argument.
