Originally meant to be a Maverick Hunter back in the war-torn time of 21XX, he was the first of a new breed of Maverick Hunter, equipped with the Force Manipulation Stratagem system.

Variance was never to be given a chance to truly test his abilities, since his world was torn asunder. A rift opened up and drew him into the Cleft on the very night he was to be revealed to the world.

Exiled from civilization through a pact with Ageatii in order to repel Jango's first invasion of Truce.

More recently, he fought the Mana Beast, and defeated it while killing himself in the process. Ageatii scavenged his soul and reincarnated it to impregnate Mizo.

Jango Says:

In truth, I have had very little dealings with this reploid. Most came simply from his close bond with Seikou.

I did, however, take the time to look into his structure and anatomic construction. Nothing as well as I would have liked. There was a system installed within him that was much unlike others of this machine race.

I may have to go in for another look to satisfy my curiosity.
