Director Shinichiro Watanabe's foray into episodic comedy, along with a varied and generally brilliant team of screenwriters, episode directors, animators, and musicians. This show marked a new milestone in anime broadcasting, as the Saturday night AS broadcast was actually the world premiere coming before the show aired in Japan.
