From 667darkavenue

The 667 Apprentice was an event created by Snicket and Sora that featured Tragedy, Linda, and Gigi. The competition followed several applicants through a job interview conducted by Tragedy to find a new Global Moderator. The event was very public and widely renowned across the forums.

Original Version

The idea originated in 2004 and was created by Sora. After approval from Tragedy, the competition was set to move on. Around 20 people applied to participate in the job interview, but many backed out before the competition official started. Among the original applicants were Antenora, Snicket, and Dupin. The competition was soon forgotten about and buried deep into the pages of Ghastly Games. Several members questioned whether or not it was still active and some tried to revive the idea. However, the competition would stay forgotten about until 2006 when it was officially revived.

The Revival

In 2005, Snicket contacted Sora and volunteered to help revive the competition. Sora accepted and Snicket attempted (Like others) to revive it. At the time, Snicket was hosting the un-successful Creativity Awards and was bashed for being un-faithful to that competition. Many refused to take part in the competition, so it too was buried in the back pages of Ghastly Games. Snicket continued to post on the competition hoping to gain some interest in the event. He kept in contact with Sora, and continued to share his ideas with him. On March 27, 2006, after conversing in secret on the competition for many months with Tragedy, Snicket and Sora made public the new plans for The 667 Apprentice. The forum responded and in less than 18 days, all of the applications were in to officially start the competition. The final list of participants were:

Team 1:

1. A 2. Twistedbrain 3. Linda 4. Dupin

Team 2:

5. Orangey 6. Amanda 7. Setnick 8. Snicket Face 9. Deanna

The Competition

A special forum was created for the event and was based on the NBC series. The forum was created by Gigi and Jemima and was managed by Snicket, Sora, Tragedy, Linda, and Gigi. Like 667 Big Brother, the contestants would "live" in the penthouse section of the forum.

Each week, the teams would compete in different tasks created by Sora, Snicket, and Tragedy. Whichever team lost the task (As determined by statistics, the assistants, or Tragedy himself) was placed in the board room and one person was fired.

Dupin was the winner of the first season of the competition and became a temporary Global Moderator (Like promised) of 667. Dupin, however, found the job to be stressful and not that much of a prize. Dupin later resigned from this position.

New Seasons?

Constantly throughout the competition, the people associated with the competition referred to it as being in its "First Season". During and after the competition, there were many members asking for another season. Nobody has officially replied to these questions, and not much is known about future seasons. To date the 667er's editor, Akbar (Who had a large involvement in the competition), has not heard of any plans of a new season. Several other members have been asked also if they know of anything, and none of them do. Several have stepped out and said that they would want to apply. Some members believe that the new season is in fact being planned and plans will be revealed shortly.
