Solomon Mutou
From Yugiohtas
Solomon Mutou is Yugi Mutou's grandfather. Although his name is Solomon, he is often referred to as simply "Grandpa" (by Yugi) or "Yugi's Grandfather" (by others). This is done so frequently that when Solomon is referred to by his proper name, Yugi is confused as to who Solomon Mutou is, and later expresses surprise that he even has a name.
Characteristics
Throughout the series, Solomon Mutou is depicted as being old and senile, and posesses many of the stereotypical characteristics associated with the elderly.
Yugi's relationship with his grandfather is difficult to place exactly. Early on Yugi demonstrates, if not a liking for his grandfather, at least an interest in his well-being. A common theme throughout the series, however, is Yugi's continuous demonstration of apathy toward his grandfather, referring to him as the "old man who lives in [his] basement", and even showing total disregard for his life.
