Author's Notes
I originally created Konstantin as little more than a background character to Jarrick, who was concentrating on at the time. I wanted much about him to be a mystery so I made clear that Jarrick had ensured his ascension to the throne, yet said very little else about him other than that he was the nephew to the last Emperor, Silas. Once my Jarrick storyline ended I decided to pursue Konstantinm and bring him into his own, to do this he rebelled against Jarrick and with Sedt and Drax, two of Jarrick's henchmen and master assassins, exiling him first to the Atholonian landmass (between Trodenhiem and Caldari) and later he moved to Caldari.
Konstantin began his reign by commencing radical social and political reforms which had never been attempted on such a scale in Trodenhiem before. As older RPers here will know Trodenhiem was a land of dictators with a tendancy toward the insane and genocidal and has been for a long time. Starting out with Silas it moved on to the Guerros, then Stomalkov, the Kelt and now Konstantin. While Konstantin was still Emperor, unlike Silas and Monte Guerro his predecessors he sought to introduce democracy and turn his nation from the fuedal serfdom it was into a socially libertarian paradise.
Early problems Konstantin faced were the Union, and Trodenhiem's traditional ally Caldari being at odds with his beliefs. So in a shocking move he withdrew Trodenhiem from the Union raping as much economic benefit as he could from it before abandoning the organisation. He quickly spread his wings forming ties with Armoria and the Corporate Union as well as Prasser and Loslakia, before finally making the historic move to meet Forthampton.
Konstantin is the father of modern Trodenhiem, under his reign it has gone from an Industrial hell hole, used as little more than an engine for constant war, into a modernised nation that took a more benevolent approach to its citizens. He is widely adored by his people and even those opposed to his ideas have great respect for him.

Konstantin is the new Emperor of Trodenhiem, still a young man he is however strong in his convictions and view of right and wrong. After seeing what Jarrick wanted Trodenhiem to become, little more than an engine for his own scheme Konstantin rebelled against him and forced Jarrick into exile in the Caldari State. Konstantin himself seems to be an easy going and caring man and indeed his actions reflect this, however he hides a dark secret, as do all the major characters of Solitaire.
He is a careful but deeply concerned man. Recently married to Kathryne a Forthamptonian princess who stole his heart after a formal meeting with the Forthamptonian royal family in which the first of Trodenhiem's new era ties were formed having broken away from the Union. He is a man deeply in love but one with a profound control of his emotions.
