Game

HEIAN: Okay. When you all have typed "Ready", we'll begin.

DARKTWIG: Ready!

KANJIRO:Shall we begin?

DARKTWIG: Sure! I'm pretty ready, even though I don't know that much of the game engine!

HEIAN: Well, fine then. We'll start now. Okay.

{Takes breath}

HEIAN: Now.

"In the fierce dark ages, The monsters around the world tear apart the balanced peace between the humans. They are all warring for the fabled 'Book of Lore'.

This book contains all of the information about the world they are on, ad it is said to have been sealed up in an indestructible, invincible land. Now, the king is furious with the loss of so many of his knights. He has no knowledge of the book himself.

So he told his knights to find the bravest people they could, so they could try and challenge the monster kings to a battle.

So he sent out for Heian of the Northern tribes, Kanjiro of the Lorian Defense batallion, and DarkTwig, the powerful dark fighter that resides in the tallest mountains.

They had all gathered at the king's court, to meet their majesty."

KANJIRO: Why hello your majesty, what brings us here today?

KING: I have assigned you 3 to an important task. As you know, the monsters are in a constant war with our land. I need you to go seek out and kill, the 10 Monster Kings.

KANJIRO: Such a dangerous task, wouldn't you say?

KING: You are marvelous fighters. Of course, you would have to prove your worth.

KANJIRO: How so?

KING: You must go retrieve me a large diamond from the the Dwarvern mines in the northern frostlands. But beware, the third division of the Evil Army has rested base up there and is beginning to enslave the dwarves and gnomes.

KANJIRO: I understand.

KING: Now, you may all begin your quest.

HEIAN: "All 3 members of the team walk out of the castle and begin trekking through the busy city."

KANJIRO: Where shall we be heading next?

HEIAN: We need to go north.

KANJIRO: It's getting late, let's stay at that in for the night and begin our adventure tomorrow.

HEIAN: We should also spend a few days checking out the environment, to familiarize ourselves with the area around the city.

KANJIRO: But most importantly... we must visit the tavern... to uhh... investigate the local... booze?

HEIAN: Right.....Well, into the inn.

"The party of 3 rests in the inn, and they head into the tavern in the morn. In the tavern, there is an old man, 3 rogues, and suspiciously no bartender."

HEIAN: Hmm. Doesn't it seem odd that there's no bartender?

KANJIRO: Indeed...

HEIAN: We shouldn't lower our guard for a second in here.

{Heian draws one of his sickles}

KANJIRO: Calm down... {Motions for Heian to put his weapon away} He's probably off shift or something... {Not realizing that when Heian drew his weapon a group of rowdy men confronted them}

DARKTWIG: Sorry, I was half asleep. {Looks at the men} You look friendly!

{Heian puts his sickle back}

HEIAN: Can we help you 3?

ROWDY MAN: You picking a fight?!

KANJIRO: No my dear sir... we we'll be right on our way...

DARKTWIG: So, we're going out of here?

ROGUE 3: Hold it right there, you three weirdoes.

ROGUE 1: You can prepare to give us your items there.

ROGUE 2: Yeah, tattoo boy. And you can get out of the way so we can rob this place.

HEIAN: You talking to us?

DARKTWIG: I think their talking to us. Either that, or the ants.

KANJIRO: I'm afraid if you don't leave us alone, we might have to use force...

{Heian draws both of his sickles.}

HEIAN: So let's review. You can leave us alone, or suffer the consequences.

DARKTWIG: I forgot my Tindy G-Force at home. Either way, we do have things.

{All 3 rogues pull out 2 daggers each.}

ROGUE 3: You don't scare us!

KANJIRO: I suppose we have no choice... {draws his Katana}

DARKTWIG: {Pulls out his Longsword} You don't scare us either!

HEIAN: Let's go!

{OOC: How does battling work?}

KANJIRO: I roll 17 doing 8 damage. I roll 2 doing 1 damage. Rouge 2 has 1 HP left. Take that!

DARKTWIG: I attack one of the rouges! I roll 1 doing 0 damage. Rouge 1 has 10 HP left

HEIAN: Eagle's Splendor! Heian rolls 9(4), 5(2), 2(1), 11(5), 4(2). Rogue 1 is dead.

ROGUE 2: You will pay for that! Rogue 2 rolls 2 and 1, missing Kanjiro. Kanjiro has 10 HP left.

ROGUE 3: MY turn! Rogue 3 rolls a 10 and a 1, hitting DrakTwig. DarkTwig has 5 HP left.

DARKTWIG: You'll pay for that! I roll a 19, doing 9 damage. Rouge 3 has 1 HP left I told you!

ROGUE 2: Brother, let's quit while we're ahead! Rogues 2 and 3 flee from battle.

HEIAN: "The bartender fells from the top floor of the tavern, tied up."

BARTENDER: {Muffled} Help! They robbed me!

HEIAN: That was a perfect plot device that distracted other people from fighting us!

DARKTWIG: Wait, why are we here anyway?

HEIAN: Well, it's not important anymore. Let's help the bartender, shall we?

DARKTWIG: Sure. So, bartender, why did they gag you?

BARTENDER: They were gonna rob the place, but from the looks of it, they didn't. So, for helping me out, I'll give you a few parting gifts.

HEIAN: "The Bartender hands Kanjiro an aged wine, Heian, a small cantine, and DarkTwig, a large flask of ale."

BARTENDER: There you are!

HEIAN: Wonder what's in here?

KANJIRO: I don't know, but i'm happy with my gift...

HEIAN: "The trio, happy with their gifts, proceed into the forest, where they plan to have a brief downtime."

Man! Am I Beat! Let's rest a while here, shall we?

DARKTWIG: Yeah. This place looks promising.

KANJIRO: Anyone care to spar?

HEIAN: I need to...Go check up on something. {Heads into bushes}

DARKTWIG: Suspitious... anyway, I'm up for sparring!

KANJIRO: {Kanjiro jumps at Darktwig playfully holding his bow} You better be fast!

{Heian returns from the inner forest, putting his left arm through the sleeve}

HEIAN: Hold it! Before anything more happens, how about DarkTwig and me versus you?

DARKTWIG: {Pulling out Longsword} I'm game for it!

I have a good idea for that diamond thing: We get the diamond bring it to the king, he will send us to get special wood from a magic tree, we bring it to him, then we must secretly take it to an enchanter (who we will have to free from jail) so she can make a staff to help us defeat the monster kings.
