Mia Jesbar

Mia Jesbar is an original character from the Star Wars Expanded Universe. Timeline wise, she comes from a couple of years after the New Jedi Order series ends.

Before Roleplay
Mia Jesbar grew up in the Harbisyn system (Star Wars galaxy) with her parents, Jacinda and Joshua. She was also close to her cousin Brodin. Her parents were in the... cargo shipping business and also took "odd" jobs on the side.
The Harbisynian government was becoming more corrupt: putting corrupt politicians in power, taking money from the people, being paid by private companies to block supply shipments (even medical ones), and allowing slavery to run rampant. Her father decided to do something about it with their shipping company and her mother helped him. So she grew up breaking the law and joined with them when she could, along with her cousin Brodin.
The Yuuzhan Vong invaded and the galactic war began when Mia was 16. Their homeworld's defense was weak and disorganized due to the corruption in every level of government, so the citizens did their best to help defend their homeworld. Mia put her piloting skills to use and joined up with a squadron to help fight the Vong. It wasn't always enough, and Mia lost friends and acquaintances, including a longtime childhood friend she'd recently become engaged to during the war. Half a year later, her father died too in an effort to stop the Vong from decimating their world.
Sometime shortly before the war, Brodin acquired his own ship and named it Haven. He and Mia used it to help with smuggling supplies to whoever needed them, but they also focused on freeing slaves whenever and however they could. This has made them both wanted fugitives as well as most of the crew onboard. They became freelancers after the war, taking a lot of spacer/mercenary type odd jobs, including a lot of transporting cargo.
Previous Game
Mia was pulled by a vortex into London in the game Under the Rainbow. She replaced a woman who did freelance covert and black ops for organizations like British and American intelligence, leaving her with a situation much like what she had back home: several different aliases, residences dotted across the world, and bank accounts whose money sources' credibility possibly left something to be desired.
Mia began dating Spike Spiegel (of Cowboy Bebop) and they got a German Shepherd puppy named Isabel. A meteor shower (Smallville style) hit London and exposure to the meteor rocks gave her DNA the nudge it needed to make her Force sensitive. She trained with Luke Skywalker and then settled with Qui-Gon Jinn as her Master and she was accepted as a Padawan by what Jedi were around.
Mia and Spike became engaged, but that ended when he cheated on her with Julia. Around the same time, Mia began working at X-Factor, a mutant detective agency, with Jamie Madrox and others. She had a pretty big crush on Jamie and they soon began dating. She fell in love with him, and loved working at X-Factor, but some months later, Mia found herself here.
Current WIHH Updates
Completely emo about missing Jamie, Mia was pretty pissy to anyone she came across. Her few respites were the few friends she had here that remembered her: Jack Harkness, Raven, Tree, and Jaina (who sort of remembered her). Qui-Gon showed up which helped immensely.
With the exception of X-Factor, most of her previous life came with her, including her background with intelligence organizations, the spaceship Jack had helped her find, her lightsaber, and Isabel.
She also made friends with Rajani and the version of Anakin Solo here. She and Rajani made the discovery that you could godbox to fictional locations off planet. Mia also did some work for Logan Echolls by greatly improving the security in his hotel.
She eventually talked to Rodney McKay about space travel. That led to her meeting John Sheppard and the two ended up flirting for quite awhile there. They went on their first date and gradually got more serious.
John disappeared and Mia's memories of him and their relationship were all wiped by Gigi. Mia remembers everyone else, but Gigi changed some of her memories and gave her some false ones to supplant the time she remembered with John. Gigi also gave her extra memories/changed her sense of time so that it seems longer since she was with Jamie as well.
After awhile, another John Sheppard showed up. Mia felt deja vu for some unknown reason but they began (once again) flirting and dating a little. Rodney eventually spilled the beans about her memories and Mia asked Gigi for them back. She finally told John, who took it surprisingly well that she'd dated another version of him, and now Mia and John are officially dating. (Or as he puts it, "kinda sorta, almost really, seriously dating".) Friends of Mia's keep appearing and disappearing and reappearing...
