Tesla Rose "Spencer" is the half sister of faux psychic Shawn Spencer. Their mother is Madeline Spenser, her father is a deceased Mexican-American police officer named Ricardo "Rick" Adams. Tesla was born in Los Angeles and raised in several Californian towns. She has memories of her brother having been her hero in his young adult years but she has not encountered the Shawn she'd grown up with.
