The Crow Clan also considers Raven to be its totem animal. Raven and Crow being generally trickster and transformative creatures, these are the twin pillars of the clan charism. Our stories centre on the character Hatempka, about whom an extremely rich tradition exists, built up over many years of the project. Of course, no one knows exactly who Hatempka is, not even perhaps the Eldest Crow, who is thought to have received certain traditions from his predecessor, traditions which date back perhaps even to the days of Jane Carwath. Although the Crow Clan allows the Wolf Project to refer to a particular group of Hatempka legends which it appears to accept uncritically (including a character called Sholana), we keep our own counsel.
