One thing I have noticed that we may be able to do based on your statistical methods is in separating common glue words from specific content. In some cases it may be more advantageous to look at phrases and not just words. I have noticed there are lots of idioms peculiar to a country or region as well. If we combine all these things we may be able to do very powerful things.

| - | I've been reading up a bit on regular expressions in Python and in general. It seems to me a transitional language somewhere between a scripting language and normal human speech. I have even seen some ads for something like that for system administrators who are lazy or dumb. My personal advantage is that I am both lazy and dumb. Using tools like regular expressions and a bit of associative tools like Prolog coupled with a bit of NLP add a touch of glue like Python, well I guess you see where I am going with that train of thought. I really think George is right about the timing. Computers are now powerful enough to run a whole bunch of processes all at the same time. This allows you to be able to pipe info between processes at a much greater rate and still leave room for hot graphics too. At least not that much of the processing is dumped off on the poor overworked video card.
