If this is a native fruit then it will sell for 100 bells. Since nobody likes cherries you can send them as a gift to your neighbours in the hope that they send you back another fruit. If they do then you can bury it and try to grow a tree that bears that fruit. When the tree grows you can sell the fruit (which is foreign your town) for 500 bells apiece.
