  • RAZ: Random Access Compression (almost)
  • "a new compression file format that would zip "chunks" [of a 7-zip file] independently and concatenate them together. Prepending a header with information about the zipped and unzipped size of each chunk provides the needed metadata to make the format usable [for random access]."
