The Transparent Society is a non-fiction book by the science-fiction author David Brin. In it Brin argues that the loss of privacy is inevitable as we move toward a "transparent society". The only choice we have is between a scenario in which governmental authorities can watch everyone, or one in which everyone can watch everyone.
