Orange Country, California (often abbreviated OC) is a city in south California, United States. Orange County has a population of 2,846,289.33 people.
History
Orange County was discovered in 1763 by Alexander Guy. The town was originally named Guy Village. The first mayor was Josh Schwartz. In 1876 the town was renamed to Orange County for some reason.
Birth of The Orange
In 1844, scientists in Orange County (then Guy Village) were busy finding a cure for several diseases. During their 4672435th try, they created what they thought was the cure. However, it did not work as they expected. What they created was a new non-poisonous, round, edible, orange product that grew on trees. So they decided to present it to WASA (Western America Scientist Association).
Before that day came, word was spreading fast about the new find. This gave Boris Badenov the idea to steal the plans and use the product to make a fortune for himself. On the was to the convention, The scientists were kidnapped by Boris Badenov. Badenov stole the plans and started running to Cuba. However, in 1846 when he got to Florida, he ran into a squirrel and a moose. The squirrel and moose recognized Badenov and turned him into the authorities.
When the scientists got to Florida in 1851, they discovered that their product grew better in Florida than in California. They presented their findings and became moderately rich.
