In August 2009, the ownership of EJR was given to the Am-Kor Group. Alex Richards announced that on September 1, 2009, The Richards Box Company will separate from EJR and will be owned by the Am-Kor Group. TRBC will operate as a separate company and Patrick Payten has been hired as CEO. Richards also announced that it has purchased the RoV Bottling Company from Ralph James and plan on starting production later in the year.
