Hannukah is a Jewish holiday celebrated in December, marking the ever lasting oil which lasted for eight days in a time where oil was hard to find.

There are 9 candles on a m'nora. Every night on sunset, the Shamash and one other candle are litten. On the second day two others besides the shamash are lit and so on until the 8th day.
