Wikireligion talk:Use WR at your own risk

CheckUsers don't exactly show where someone lives. It's just possible. For example, a CheckUser on my IP (please don't try it) would show me as living in a city that I live close to (but not in). The current version of "Anyone can find out where you live" is very scary, and also untrue. IP information is never really personally identifiable. Also, why does this need protecting? - Changed. This maybe a heavily vandalized page because of the content. ForestH2 16:32, 23 March 2007 (EST)
- But there's no vandals... Archer7 16:40, 23 March 2007 (EST)
- No kidding. ANY page can be the target of vandalism - that's inherent with a WIKI. Stop protecting everything UNLESS it IS being vandalised. Seven of nine 17:01, 23 March 2007 (EST)
- And take this up on the policy page, the protecting page policy says all guidelines and and policies need to be protected. If vandals come here, which they already have, and might again, this would be a target page. ForestH2 17:08, 23 March 2007 (EST)
