An Established Church is a church sanctioned and supported by the government. In the 1600s the Church of England was the Established Church of the British government. While rare, established churches still exist in Sweden (Lutheran Church) and Argentina (Roman Catholic Church).
In countries that don't have an established church they do have religious freedom or the act to belief in any type of religion you would like too.
