However, in today's world, the company isn't as loyal to the employee as much as the employee may be to the company. Your company is cheap, and they are taking you for a sucker. (Your boss may be stuck in the middle of all this.)As for going into work today, call the boss back and find out what she wants. If she wants you to come in, tell her it is your day off and you have already planned something for this evening. As soon as you get off the phone, start hunting around on the internet for other jobs in your field. Try not to actually quit until you have something else lined up though.
