MoAd, as it's colloquially called, began in 1974, and is one of the oldest AZA chapters in Central Region West, under House of David AZA #1488, which MoAd had originally been a part of.

Members of MoAd are determined by what high school, or state, they attend. However, there are exceptions to the rule, such as private schools and transfer students. If such a circumstance exists, members of MoAd are determined by their homes' geographical location within or just outside of the Los Gatos - Saratoga area.
