Books that Deserve to Change the World
From Wiki42
This is a list of modern or semi-modern books that deserve to change the world. Works of theology/religion, laws and ancient documents such as the Platonic dialogues are excluded as they of obvious merit and so widely known that they need not be compared. These are ideological books of importance that is not immediately obvious. They deserve to be read and considered because they contain philosophical and/or political wisdom and truth which, while of finite value, does have value nonetheless. Not enough people have read them.
- "The Abolition of Man" by C. S. Lewis
- "Free Culture" by Lawrence Lessig
- "Liberty and Tyranny" by Mark Levin
- "Nineteen Eighty-Four" by George Orwell
- "Flatland; A Romance of Many Dimensions" by Edwin Abbott Abbott
- "The Wave" by Todd Strasser/Morton Rhue
- "An Investigation of the Laws of Thought On Which are Founded the Mathematical Theories of Logic and Probabilities." by George Boole
- "You Can Trust The Communists (To Be Communists)" by Fred Schwartz
- "Men in black: how the Supreme Court is destroying America" by Mark Levin
- "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley.
More to come hopefully, these were just off the top of my head.
