Here are some Windows XP enhancements that I like to use.
- Open Command Prompt Shell Extension is an improved, open source alternative to the "CmdPromptHere" PowerToy by Microsoft.
- Taskbar Shuffle - tested, it works
- Taskix - supposed to be Taskbar Shuffle only takes less RAM. It does not enable you to shuffle system tray icons as it's less optimised cousin "Taskbar Shuffle" does.
- TaskSwitch XP - It's an alt-tab replacement, but the part I actually use is it's ability to minimize any window to the system tray by right-clicking on the minimize button.
- Doug Knox is a "Microsoft MVP" who has registry tweaks and fixes on his site that actually work.
- "Index of /~krnv100/winclassic" has some neat stuff, particularly a registry file that adds "Printers and Faxes" to the My Computer window.
- RyanVM's Windows XP Post-SP2 Update Pack - Microsoft should have done this a long time ago.
