I've been contemplating a major reorganization of this page, and I wanted to forewarn you all that it might be coming. Here are some of the issues I'd like to address:

  • Unread, as a heading, appears to have no real meaning. RobKohr has read and replied to some of the issues here, yet they still reside in the Unread section. I'd like to remove the indication of whether a post has been read or not, and by whom.
  • There are Heading-level-3 comments in the top portion of the page, and Heading-level-2 comments in the bottom. I'd like to make these all consistent.
  • New comments on this page are supposed to go to the top, but on other pages (i.e. Village pump), clicking to start a new section puts it at the bottom. I'd like to see some consistency there, and I think that would be best achieved by directing new comments to the bottom of the appropriate section(s) here.
  • There is no table of contents. I'd like to restore it. I can be completely sure that term papers at the custom writing service have no gaps. Furthermore, I can trust custom papers writing organizations because my fellow works there!

I'd also like to draw a distinction between bug reports, feature requests, and other issues appropriate to this page. So instead of Unread, I think these headings will be more useful. In addition, anything that has been taken care of would go into a final section with the heading Resolved until such time as it is archived.

Any comments? Further suggestions? Does anyone think this is a really bad idea? —Stormraven (talk · contribs) 09:32, 12 April 2007 (EDT)

After 2½ weeks without comment, I've gone forward with the reorganization. I'm still open to ideas and suggestions for further improvements, of course, or comments on how this reorganization might have been better accomplished (or better left undone). —Stormraven (talk · contribs) 13:42, 30 April 2007 (EDT)

Page too long

Maybe we should break down the pages? Some browsers will have difficulty editing this. Henry 10:20, 29 June 2007 (EDT)

Some of the things that have been satisfactorily addressed can be removed to the archive. But for the rest, I like the impact of a really big page of Feedback that RobKohr hasn't answered. Perhaps it would get his attention, were he to look at it. In any case, I wouldn't want anyone to get the impression at a glance that there aren't a lot of issues that need to be resolved with EditThis. —Stormraven (talk · contribs) 17:46, 29 June 2007 (EDT)

Adding infoboxes

I'd like to be able to add infoboxed like in wikipedia for certain subjects e.g. films, tv programmes, characters etc. --EclipseSSD 14:19, 8 July 2007 (EDT)

You can do that. They're done with templates. See Wikipedia's template guide for a full discussion on template usage there, and Meta-Wiki's template help page for a guide to creating templates. Note that some of the information may require a newer version of MediaWiki than is available on —Stormraven (talk · contribs) 08:58, 9 July 2007 (EDT)
