Please allow me to introduce the Augusta Greenway Alliance, a non profit organization devoted to smart growth and =sustainable transportation. www.augustagreeenway.org

Among other things, we are interested in developing alternative transportation corridors, or hybrid greenways, which facilitate both cycling and low speed electric vehicles. The low speed electric vehicles are similar to electric golf carts, and travel at speeds of 25 MPH or less. We believe these hybrid greenways provide a versatile, highly-functional, healthy alternative to conventional transportation facilities, and makes a lot of sense in urban areas where relatively short commute distances are common.

Our staff and Board of Directors includes Engineers, Architects, Urban Designers and Transportation Policy consultants. We are available to provide consulting, if your community wishes to explore alternative transportation.
