A

Assassin

Assassins are people that show no allegiance to any one state. They serve only themselves and do miscellaneous hit jobs for money. Note: this doesn't mean that the assassins can just go around killing people--these have to be plotted in advance and thus the assassins aren't allowed to godmod, either. There are only 10 assassins in the game at any given time, so they cannot be apped unless some of them die off, and there only being 10 means that some states will be able to hire more assassins than others.

B

Base

A base is a major city belonging to a state. Each state has three bases. Once those three bases are destroyed or taken over, it means that that state has been obliterated and the soldiers can be killed or deflect to the enemy side.

Emperor

The Emperor in this game is Mushu, the leader of the Zhou dynasty. He is merely a figurehead who comments on the action randomly and complains about the weather.

King

A King (王 wáng) is the ruler of one of the states. This is different from the actual Emperor. Even Mitsuru is called a King, even though she is female.
