Buzzwords

From Wall Of Losers

A game introduced to the group by Holly in the summer of 2009. The first play of Buzzwords happened at Kelli's house, with the pioneering players being Kelli (she had to be there, it was her house), Matt, Melissa, and Holly.

[edit] Gameplay

Players split into teams and choose witty team names (see below). One team picks a card which displays a word at the top, the buzzword. There are then ten clues which hint at phrases that include the buzzword. The other team is supposed to guess the phrases in a certain amount of time.

• Kelli: Your word is... c-h-h-h-h (hysterical giggles)

• Melissa: I can't decided which side of the card to use, so you guys get your choice. Do you like head, or do you want deep?

• Matt: Your word is.. Philadelphia.
  

entire room: Um... wha..?

• • During the Philadelphia card, Holly guessed just the word Philadelphia for every answer. Finally, for the last clue, the answer was just Philadelphia. Surprisingly, Philadelphia Cream Cheese was not on the card. Looks like someone needs to jump on the product placement bandwagon, Buzzwords.

The most successful team pairing to date was team "HoJo", the combination of Jenn and Holly. The historic game was played at Denny's (yes, actually IN Denny's). Jenn and Holly were able to score perfect tens on at least five cards in a row, although this may be due to Kelli's ridiculous pantomime while Matt wasn't looking.
