Soft vore is a type of vorarephilia. It is defined by the prey being swallowed whole, alive, and generally without being injured - i.e., without being bitten or chewed. It is the opposite of hard vore.
Definitions of soft vore may vary, so as to include or exclude digestion. Persons prefering soft vore may fantasise about the prey not being digested at all (either emerging alive and unhurt, or remaining in the stomach indefinitely). Alternately, they may include digestion in their fantasy, often imagining it as painless. In such cases, the act of consuming and digesting remains "soft vore", despite being fatal to the prey.
