(I realize my following overview and paradigm have nothing to do with "documentation" as we know it. I'm interested in demonstrating the extreme flexibility of the overview/paradigm relationship)

overview

• Think about what you love to do. How do you make time for it? Is it part of your routine or do you simply let it happen when it wants to, or when you have nothing else to do? Does what you love to do enhance your life and the lives of those around you, like a good party, or does it create problems for you and others in the long run? Assuming what you love works for you and others, how do you protect that asset and get to it as often as you want or need to? Is it something you strictly need to guard or would it help you to share it with others. What if what you love to do doesn't really work for you? What would work for you and how can you find it and make it yours to have and do?

paradigm

• I love to surf. Once a week I drive to the ocean with a friend. We leave about 6:30 am on Wednesdays. We surf until about 10:30 am and then have brunch and drive home. Usually I'm back at work by 1:00 pm. Sometimes I am tired or really busy with life and feel like I can't make it on Wednesdays. But knowing that I'll have to call my friend and let him know my issue makes me confront myself and decide if my excuse is real or imaginary. Some surfing is good for me. If I do it too much my family and business suffer, but once a week usually works. My friend's teenage son goes with us in the summer, but now that he's back in school we have room for one or two other people to come along if they want.

Reality may be multi-dimensional. If it is then it's possible things may work differently in different dimensions. Not only do we need to learn how to function in each dimension, we also may need to learn how to transition from one dimension to another.

Get to know people in other cultures by living with them in their culture or at least studying the evidence of their culture within your own.
