Sub-planetary objects is a group of celestial objects which includes natural satellites or moons, planetoids or dwarf planets, comets, and asteroids. They are typically tidally locked to their primary in cases of natural satellites but may also be orbiting its parent star directly in cases of planetoids, asteroids and comets.
