Right, uh, I was wondering about the use of the term "mana." It's an ancient Hawaiian term for mystical power, and it has seen a lot of use in popular fantasy, but I'm not sure we want to bring in that kind of influence. If we really want this to be original, then maybe we should rethink a few things, or at least bring in some more obscure, diverse influences. My beef is that creating a system of magic that relies on a fuel source or a raw material is a bit too simplistic, since it requires that the raw magical substance be "shaped" into a spell or whatever. That stretches suspension of disbelief and makes it way too easy for whole storylines to be written about evil bad guys collecting huge amounts of mana so they can blow up the world. --{{User:Cainad/sig}} 05:19, 26 March 2007 (EST)

We need to set up clear rules for this and rather quickly.....I move we establish nice firm rules and basics in the real world through Daniel before we post here to much and start a break down in our currently limited network.....also I move to lock down the Handleless editing after 20 people less we start an information and fact break down....we should then after making a cassually strong world force lesser users to appeal and edit through higher and hopefully more experienced users so that we do ont have a fundamentally weak or easilly foil reality. --Jaymee 22:33, 4 March 2007 (EST)

I don't think keeping information straight should be a problem. As I've illustrated here, there will be a way in the future to allow both unlimited anonymous contributions and an understanding of what is considered "real" and what is not. Although the details have yet to be worked out, I don't think as large a step as locking out anonymous contributors will be necessary; we'll take that step if--I say "if," not "when"--it becomes a serious problem. The point is to allow the world to grow the way the people want it to grow, not to allow them only to write within the confines of the site's founders' limited imagination (although I think Aaron might have enough imagination to go around for a while :) ). It is, after all, a wiki. I do appreciate your opinion, but don't forget to sign your posts. --Wehpudicabok--talk-- 19:11, 2 March 2007 (EST)

Concerning things that nobody except me cares about

--bDuJNR Fantastic blog.
