Chris Bridges is an American politician, currently serving as the 25th Secretary of Defense. He took office in April 1st, 2018. He previously served in the American Navy for 7 years, until he retired in 2009.

Early Life
Christian Bridges was born in April 20th, 1982 to Phoebe and Franklin Bridges. Raised in Charleston as the youngest of 4 children, Chris was always an excellent student, graduating near the top of his high school class from Wando.
Family Background
His father, Franklin Bridges, was a succesful career Navy man who retired in 1997 after 30 years of service. She married Phoebe Skrine in 1971.
Navy Service
After leaving high-school in 2000, Chris decided to turn down many offers from prestigious universities to enter the Navy in 2002, in which he served for 7 years to retire in 2009.
After Retirement
After leaving the Navy, he used his G.I. Bill money to attend Clemson University and eventually graduate with a Computer Engineering degree. Chris went on to attend Auburn University for his Masters degree and the University of Tennessee at Knoxville for his Doctorates.
In 2011, Bridges started a small computer firm, ALS Systems, which worked mostly with upgrading military software. By 2015, ALS Systems had grown from a 6 person operation in a small office building in Summerville, South Carolina to a 10,000 person, multi-million dollar corporation with offices in Florida, Washington, D.C., Maine, California, Washington State, and Mississippi, with main offices in Charleston, SC.
Political Career

In 2017 he was nominated by recently elected President Whitney Mason to take office as Secretary of Defence. Most Senators from both parties supported this decission, and he took office in April 1st, 2018.
Bridges faced many problems during his first term, including several military conflicts, being the War against Venezuela the most remarkable.
He resigned in 2020 after the Siberian Scandal, making the following statement
I feel that it is in the best interest of my collective conscience as well as the moral fiber of the nation as a whole that I no longer serve as Secretary of Defense
Personal Life
Chris Bridges is known for being an excellent swimmer, and for having a passion for both sheet shooting and hunting. One thing very little people know is that he also has a hidden love for knitting
Marriage
Bridges married Sarah Goldman in 2000, being only 18 years old.
They had a daughter, Leah, in 2011. After this, Sarah suddenly suffered heart complications, which soon disappeared
Sarah became pregnant again in 2012. Their son, Chris Jr. was born in 2013, but Sarah went ill again and tragically died in 2014.
