Early Life and Career

Roland Theodore Knightly, Jr. was born on the 26th of April 1974 to Maria Sawers Knightly and Congressman Roland Jonathan Knightly, Sr., at their family home in a white suburb of Chicago. The intelligent child of a politician and his wife, Roland Knightly enjoyed prime education and went to Harvard University to study Political Science. Later, he would read the same subject at the University of Chicago and be promoted to PhD on a thesis about the shifting political climate of the last century. In 2000, he stood for the House of Representatives.

Roland Knightly has now served for 9 years in the House.

Ideology

Roland Knightly can be described as an Intellectual Liberal, almost social, Democrat from Illinois. He supports Civil Unions, opposes foreign interventionism, and is generally a proponent of an American welfare state, even if he has to regulate things for it. He keeps his commitment to the Free Market, but he agrees the Free Market, as has been proven in the 2008 credit crisis, needs a support in the back from the Government with some regulations. Roland is pro-abortion and anti-death penalty.
