Biographical

Tommy was born in Reno, Nevada. He saw the hardship and struggle of the 80's. Tommy wasn't a good student attendance and attitude wise but he got the job done academically and was excepted to the Naval Academy.

He was commissioned a 2nd Lt. in the United States Marine Corps in 1997. Tommy was stationed at United States Marine Corps Base Kaneohe in Hawaii on the Island of Oahu. While in the Marines Tommy would be come a sniper, a dieing bread among the Marine Corps. However after the September 11th attacks Tommy saw lots of action in the middle east. After one tour in Afghanistan he was asked to join the "Killer Elite" or the Marine Recon. The most hardcore intense unit in the United States Military.

Tommy joined the unit right as they deployed to Iraq at the end of 2002. In Iraq Caffee would command a group of misfits. The pace of the Marine Recon battalion upon invading Iraq was so fast they didn't see intense combat until entering Baghdad While during "Shock and Awe". A rolling stones writer was embed with the "Killer Elite". This reporter documented many things that went on during the companies time in Iraq. Most notable was the relationship between the recon force. How racism, and discrimination effected no one. While in a fire fight in south Baghdad Tommy's pinky and ring finger on his left hand where shot off.

Tommy returned to Las Vegas after getting out of the Marines and decided to run for office. Caffee represented Las Vegas for 4 years. While in the House Caffee has had a strong Western Conservative Leaning record. In 2010 Thomas Caffee ran to seek higher office as a Senator.

On election day 2010, Thomas Caffee was elected to the Senate by a .07% margin of victory. In what should have been a landslide race for a republican, Caffee went to the left to prove that not all republicans are extremists. This however proved to be a disaster. While going to the left on social issues the Republican base was immediately turned off. However with the course of the campaign he would win the base back and a large majority of independent voters as well as an average of 10% of democratic voters. Caffee would go on to beat Glen Russel 1,061,970 (46.13%) to 1,060,495 (46.07%). Caffee only won one state out of five and that was Nevada. This was one of the smallest margins of victory for the 2010 election cycle.

In what began at an disapproval rate of 55%, Caffee slowly gained ground with voters in the Sunbelt. They began understand that they did not elect a a do nothing talking head but a man who got the job done, getting three of his bills passed by the Senate. In the year 2012 Caffee has saw a spike in approval by the people of the sunbelt. In a 2012 poll his disapproval was at 47% and his approval at 43%.

Senator Caffee decided to dip his toes in the Republican Presidential Primary. Caffee would eventually challenge Speaker of the House Fox Reynard, and Governor of the Gulf Coast Matt Mitchell. Caffee was the dark horse in this race polling aroun 13%-15% in all polls while Mitchell and Reynard lead the pack neck and neck in the low 20's%. In a total of three debates all three contenders tied. Caffee was the clear alternative to Reynard and Mitchell's Southern Conservative appeal. However soon before Iowa Caffee would drop out and endorse Matt Mitchell.

After returning to his Re-election campaign in the Sunbelt he was primaried by Utah Representative Thomas Lane. Lane was a quite congressman not releasing anything to the press or authoring any bills. Pundints saw this as a longshot for Senator Caffee who had made considerable gaffes the year before in the Senate. However Caffee brought it down to the wire losing by 3 points. His efforts in Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and Nevada made the race a nail bitter. Caffee did win a moral victory by winning his home state of Nevada by more percentage points than Lane won Utah.

After being defeated in the primary a grassroots organization got Caffee on the Ballot for his old district in Nevada. He would win easily in November and would cruise on to re-election in 2014. However he stepped down from his office and now does freelance writing for all news publications.
