Brolin was born to Andrew and Sarah Brolin in 1950 at Tulsa, Oklahoma. He'd spent most of his childhood living with his parents at his homecity, and would join the U.S. Army in 1972. He served in many conflicts, including the Vietnam War and several conflicts.

A Republican for 17 years, Brolin switched parties in 1990, while in Italy, due to his dissatisfaction with President Bush. As a famous personality in various localities of his homestate, he suddenly became an important political figure, being asked for endorsements every now and then. In 2006, he decided to throw his hat to the ring and unsuccesfully attempted to become Attorney General.

Back to the University, Brolin decided to stay away from politics for a few years until conservative John Dunn asked him to be his running mate in the 2010 Heartlands elections. Excited with the opportunity, he accepted, and campaigned around the region for Dunn. However, due to the death of his wife, Elizabeth, he withdrew some weeks before election day, handing [[Davis Jefferson]] the win.

A ''Draft Brolin'' movement began, and despite declining several times to run, he finally entered the race and won in a succesful write-in campaign. He's been serving Tulsa since then.
