Daniel Garrison was born in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho in 1963 as only son to Sean Garrison and Marie Vasser. His father worked for the U.S: Department of State mostly in France. Marie Garrison, his mother was born in France and met James, here in 1959. Daniel Garrison has one sister, Véronique Garrison.

Daniel attended kindergarten and elementary school in Paris before returning to Idaho where he graduated from Coeur D'Alene Senior High School in 1981.

After highschool Daniel returned to France and enrolled at the Sorbonne in Paris, where he graduated in 1985 with a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations. During his studies at the Sorbonne he met Aimée Michèle Rousseau, a student of the Arts.

Following Daniel’s graduation from the Sorbonne the coupled moved to Oxford, England where Daniel graduated with an M.A. in History in 1987. The same year the couple got married in Grenoble, France and moved to the United States soon afterwards.

Back in the U.S. Daniel enrolled at the University of Notre Dame where he completed his Ph.D. in Political Science in 1990. The same year Daniel and Aimée’s first daughter Laetitia was born. Their second daughter Madeleine was born in 1993, their only son Matthieu followed in 1996.

The Garrison family returned to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho in 1990 where Daniel and Aimée realized a long dream of theirs when they build and opened the ‘Lakeside Mountain Resort’ which soon became the number one address in Northern Idaho. Since the opening of the ‘Lakeside Mountain Resort’ Daniel and his wife have opened seven more hotels, five in the Rocky Mountains, one in the French Alps and one in the Swiss Alps.

In 2002 Daniel was elected Mayor of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and in 2008 he successfully campaigned for Idaho’s First Congressional District. He serves in the United States House of Representatives since then.

Here Sean took over his father's small restaurant at the lakefront. Sean and Marie still own and manage the restaurant, which was expanded in the 1990s.

Born: April 26, 1944 in Bergerac, France. Marie came out of a wealthy French family and attended a private school in Paris until 1962. She enrolled at the University of Paris but terminated her studies only one year later in 1963 to leave for Idaho with her husband. When they returned to Paris in 1964 Marie continued her studies and graduated in 1967 with a B.A. in Business Administration. Back in Coeur d'Alene she worked with her husband in their lakefront restaurant.

She then enrolled at Notre Dame Law School where she graduated with her law degree in 1997, passing her bar exam the same year. Following her education Véronique moved to Washington D.C. where she began practicing law for Hamilton and Hamilton, LLP. In 2008 she left Hamilton ad Hamilton, LPP and began working as a lobbyist for the NRA and the National Right to Life Committee.

Works as Owner and President of the Hotel chain.
