Bureaucrats, often abbreviated as 'Crat , are special Sysops with great power and wisdom. On other wikis far, far away there are more Bureaucrats, however there are only three MarioWiki Bureaucrats. Porplemontage (real name is Steve) was one of the first Bureaucrats, along with AgentSeethroo who was demoted by will because of his inactivity. Wayoshi resigned after the Willy Event, and Xzelion retired. Recently, RAP and Cobold were promoted to Bureaucrats. Bureaucrats have the power to turn Users into Sysops, Patrollers and even into other Bureaucrats. In some wikis such as the Mario Wiki, they can demote users as well, but on others only Stewards can demote. They also have the unique power to Rename other users.
