Narcotics in the game The Universal's Andromeda Galaxy can be inferred to include drugs manufactured in a way that is specific to the extraction of the narcotic. These things may include: narcotic medicines, drugs, alcohol, and tobacco. Along with Construction Materials, narcotics are one of more "high-end" trade goods able to make a profit.
About one-third of the systems in the Andromeda Galaxy either sell or buy narcotics. The usual price range for purchasing is between 600.0 and 620.0 credits per ton, though there are reports of some systems selling narcotics for as little as 580.0 credits. The more distant systems will purchase narcotics from traders for as much as 700.0 credits per ton, creating a large profit margin for long trips.
