Yellow stars are the most common type found in the Andromeda Galaxy. A yellow star has a pale yellow photosphere and light yellow corona. There are more yellow stars in the galaxy than all other types combined.

While the yellow star is common, they have the highest percentage of uninhabited planets per system of any type. Fewer yellow stars have asteroid belts or Uridium, on average. While they have less of these resources, planets tend to thrive around yellow stars. A yellow star averages nearly three planets in orbit, with just under two inhabited planets. Many of the largest systems in the galaxy circle around yellow stars, such as Cirrus Minor, Tau Ceti, Yuresha, and M-110.
