• An explosion occurs at the Osborn Industries lab causing several fatalities and injuries to Otto Octavius and Harry Osborn. Norman Osborn is not found among the victims and survivors.

• The next day, Peter attends yet another wrestling match, this time in his new costume. After the match, he is accused by the manager of stealing the petty cash. The manager demands that Peter remove his mask, Peter refuses and flees the building.

• While Peter is walking home, he witnesses a robbery. When the robber runs by him, Peter lets him go, telling witnesses that he has his own problems.

• When Peter arrives home, he in confronted by Ben and May who have received a notice from his school regarding his dropping grades. During the confrontation, Peter yells at his family and runs out of the house. He arrives at Kong’s place and asks to crash.

• The next day, Kong throws a party where a drunken Liz Allan hits on Peter and kisses him, to the witness of MJ. Peter rushes after her and runs into Ben Parker who has tracked Peter down. Ben tells Peter that he is causing him and May a great deal of stress and that they are worried about him. Ben passes down the philosophy that Peter’s dad lived by. Ben says Richard Parker “believed that if there were things in this world that you had to offer, things that you did well --- better than anyone else… things that you could do that helped people feel better about themselves… he believed that it wasn’t just a good idea to do those things… he believed it was your responsibility to do those things. Don’t try to be something else. Don’t try to be less. Great things are going to happen to you and your life. Great things, and with that will come great responsibility.” Peter runs from Ben in anger of his father not being there for him.

• A large monstrous figure is shown moving between dark alleys and covering itself with a cloak.

• Peter comes to his senses and returns home to apologize to his family. When he arrives, there are police cars in front of his home.
