15.15 Starlight 

'Noni The Clown'. Noni, a Frenchman who was born and brought up in the circus, is one of the most famous clowns living today. He follows the tradition of his brilliant predecessors, Joey Grimaldi and Crock. Londoners will remember him at the Command Performance at the Coliseum a short while ago. He finished his act by getting down from the stage and saying 'Any flowers?'. Queen Mary replied by sending him a flower from her bouquet. His daughter, Anita, comes before the camera at 15.50 this afternoon

15.25 Cartoons 

Old Bill. A selection of cartoons by the famous war-time caricaturist Captain Bruce Bairnsfather. Forty-nine years ago Bruce Bairnsfather was born in India. He served in France from November 1914 to December 1916. During that time he saw enough of trench life to appreciate the Cockney genius for creative humour in the face of danger. In word and sketch he delighted the world with his portrayals of Tommy Atkins at home and at the front. Today his work is just as popular as it was when Old Bill gave his celebrated advice about the merits of a certain 'Better 'Ole'

The Wonder Child Anita Noni, the daughter of Noni the famous clown, who also appears this afternoon, is a child prodigy and unlike most displays of precocity, her act is excellent entertainment. She is only twelve years old; yet she sings, dances, and plays nearly every kind of instrument

Oliver Wakefield and The Buddy Bradley Girls. The BBC Television Orchestra. Conductor, Hyam Greenbaum. Oliver Wakefield is a comedian who has been broadcasting with Henry Hall for three months. A South African, he made a great reputation for himself in America for his broadcasts with Paul Whiteman and Rudy Vallee. The Buddy Bradley Girls are a troupe who come before the television camera for the first time. Viewers will remember that last week Buddy Bradley provided a chorus of coloured dancers for the all-coloured cabaret
