This song is partially recorded and hosted on the mediafire site as "Suicide Song", by the Leaning Towers. It currently has 4 verses of vocals, with room for 6 more

edit - Emily and I have taken a few of these original verses and changed the ending around, and i think we're all full up, we just need to put it back together.

Lyrics (Pynchon's)

From Gravity's Rainbow, page 320

Well I don't care for the things I eat
Can't stand that boogie woogie beat
But I'm sold, on, suicide!

You can keep Der Bingle too, a-
And that darn "bu-bu-bu-boo,"
Cause I'm sold on suicide!

Oh! I'm not too keen on r4ation stamps
Or Mothers who used to be baby vamps
But I'm sold, on, suicide!

Don't like either, the Cards or Browns
Piss on the country and piss on the town,
But I'm S.O.S., yes ...

...well actually this goes on, verse after verse, for quite some time, In its complete version it represents a pretty fair renunciation of the things of the world.

Lyrics (original)

Don't take me out dancing twice a week
I ain't got the moves or the clothes that are chic,
But I'm sold...

I don't care for fancy cars,
I've driven to church and to all of the bars,
Now I'm sold, on, suicide

Don't put me on diets or feed me desserts
Empty or full, my stomach just hurts
Cause I'm sold...

Don't even mention Mom and Dad,
I ain't seen hell, but it can't be that bad
So I'm sold, on, suicide

I don't need uranium cakes,
Or the bomb and the big bloody mess that it makes
But I'm sold, good as gold, on suicide!

Can't buy a house like Mr. Jones,
I'm sold to the Man who makes all the loans
Yes sold, sold on, suicide!

I'm not in the mood for a roll in the sheets,
Can't get excited 'bout blood in the streets
But I'm sold...

You can hug your trees and ride your bikes
Swear off meat, and pine after dykes
But I'm sold, just like I'm told, on suicide

It may be too short of too long,
But I don't care to sing anymore of this song,
Cause I'm sold, on, suicide!
