The hall closet has a secret

Tyler led us into the hall closet, which was rather large; at the back were shelves of towels and sheets. Tyler picked up something from a shelf and pulled the door closed. The darkness was complete. Then the flashlight he'd picked up lit.

"Look here." He pointed to the wall that the closet shared with the other room. There was a small white paper taped to the wall. You could barely see it against the white paint. He removed the paper to reveal an hole, or more accurately, a spy hole, and offered for me to look. I look through and saw Donna's bedroom with a clear view of the bed. There seemed to be one of those hotel door viewers, because the view seemed magnified. Then he uncovered another peephole next to the first and peered through.

"Kindal and I put the peephole viewers in so we could watch Mom 'entertain' her dates. We never thought we'd use them to watch each other entertain her," Tyler said. "Here." He turned a small switch that was hidden near the door. "That will let us hear them."
