OW! You hit your head pretty bad on the end of the shelf as you flew out, and hitting the floor gave you some minor scrapes. A tile floor! Light! You wearily turn your head to appreciate the change of scenery, and immediately close your eyes, now another part of you that hurts. Feels like you haven't used them in weeks, or days anyway. Better now than never, though, so you resolve to let in as much light as you can handle, to adjust. | OW! You seem to have exhausted every possible course of action. Even clearing your head of plastic, or just clearing your head (you pause to take note of the almost pun, and hate yourself for thinking of it) didn't help.
You relax your body a bit, stop moving for the moment, and blink. You try to think of something you've done wrong, or something else you could do with what little time your limited air supply has to offer, but you've got nothing.
Wait a second. Something seems different. You blink. You blink again. You can tell the difference when you blink now; there's the tiniest bit of light coming from somewhere. You lean forward to look down, but it's darker down there. So you arch your back, to look up, and...
Not wasting any time, you stuff your fingers into the tiny crack of light, or try to. Your fingers are too big to get any leverage. You manage to squeeze the straw into the crack, but it's too weak to do any better than your fingers. You don't bother to retrieve it, instead opting for a change in strategy.
You remember your observations about where you are and... it hits you. You're on some sort of shelf! You press your hands to the sides, push down, and slip. Not one to give up easily (you're a bit confused, give yourself a break), you push outward and downward with all your strength. After a couple seconds of pushing, your hands slip again, but the crack has spread to an inch or so, which you eagerly and easily fit your hands into now, pull yourself up with all your strength, and roll face-first onto the floor when the shelf hits its maximum extension.
In the meantime, you need to come up with a course of action. You have the feeling that your escape isn't through yet, having more to do with you being indoors than the remainders of plastic wrapped around you.
What do you do?
