You decide to check the other rooms for an exit.  There should be windows off them, or maybe other doors.

You look each room over quickly.  Unfortunately, all the windows are too small for you to squeeze through, and most of them are dead ends.  However, one sitting room has a door leading off it, and a kitchen has a trapdoor leading down.  You could still try climbing out the windows, or you could try one of the other exits.

You look each room over quickly.  Unfortunately, all the windows are too small for you to squeeze through, and most of the rooms are dead ends.  However, a kitchen has a trapdoor leading down.  A quick glance down there reveals nothing but darkness, but a breeze tells you that there's likely an outlet.  You could go that way, or you could try climbing out the windows.  Of course, you could always go back down the hallway.   
The thought of going deeper into the castle makes you uneasy, though.  If you're going to do that, you'll want a weapon.

You look each room over quickly. Unfortunately, all the windows are too small for you to squeeze through, and most of the rooms are dead ends. However, a kitchen has a trapdoor leading down. A quick glance down there reveals nothing but darkness, but a breeze tells you that there's likely an outlet. You could go that way, or you could try climbing out the windows. Of course, you could always go back down the hallway.
