It clearly showed a ring of proto planetary debris approximately 21.5 billion miles across and having a sharp inner edge. <br><br>Hubble astronomer Paul Kalas, of the University of California at Berkeley,, and team members proposed in 2005 that the ring was being gravitationally modified by a planet lying between the star and the ring's inner edge. <br><br>Circumstantial evidence came from Hubble's confirmation that the ring is offset from the center of the star. The sharp inner edge of the ring is also consistent with the presence of a planet that gravitationally "shepherds" ring particles. Independent researchers have subsequently reached similar conclusions. <br><br>Now,, Hubble has actually photographed a point source of light lying 1.8 billion miles inside the ring's inner edge. "Our Hubble observations were incredibly demanding. Fomalhaut b is 1 billion times fainter than the star. Following the unexpected discovery of its dust ring, we have now found an exoplanet at a location suggested by analysis of the dust ring's shape. SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- As part of management reshuffle,, Yahoo Inc on Thursday announced that Blake Jorgensen, its chief financial officer (CFO), will be leaving the company.
Yahoo has initiated a search for successor of Jorgensen and he will remain with the company through a transition period,, the Internet search giant said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Jorgensen is the most senior executive to leave since Carol Bartz became Yahoo's new chief executive officer (CEO) on Jan. 13 this year,, replacing co-founder Jerry Yang.
Yang offered to step down in November last year after he rejected Microsoft's bid to buy Yahoo and failed to forge a partnership with Google. The decisions met with complaints from some shareholders.
Former Yahoo President Susan Decker, a candidate for CEO, resigned after she didn't get the job.
This week, Yahoo also announced the departures of Marco Boerries,, its mobile business chief as well as its news unit chief Neeraj Khemlani.
"Today I'm rolling out a new management structure that I believe will make Yahoo a lot faster on its feet," Bartz on Thursday wrote in a posting on Yahoo's official blog.
"For us working at Yahoo,, it means everything gets simpler. We'll be able to make speedier decisions, the notorious silos are gone, and we have a renewed focus on the customer," she said.
Describing her six-week experience in Yahoo as "a whirlwind tour,," Bartz said she has been impressed by people there,, but found "there's also plenty that has bogged this company down."
Yahoo will create a new customer advocacy group, Bartz announced in the posting,, noting that she gets a lot of angry calls at her office from frustrated customers.
Bartz also promised to strengthen the Yahoo brand,, which she called one of the company's biggest assets.
"Mention Yahoo practically anywhere in the world,, and people yodel. But in the past few years, we haven't been as clear in showing the world what the Yahoo brand stands for. We're going to change that," she said.

Zookeepers in the Netherlands are planning to hook up Dutch and Indonesian orangutans over the Internet and believe the link could at some stage be used as an online dating service where apes could get to know one another and keepers could work out whether they would be compatible mates.
First things first: A romantic dinner for two.
"We are going to set up an Internet connection between Indonesia and Apeldoorn so that the apes can see each other and, by means of pressing a button, be able to give one another food," said Anouk Ballot, a spokeswoman for the ape park in the central Dutch city of Apeldoorn.
She said the chance of two orangutans actually mating as a result of the online interaction was small due to the problem of transporting them between the Netherlands and Indonesia. "But I wouldn't rule it out completely," she said.
Ballot said the primary aim of the computer link between Dutch and Indonesia was to raise public awareness of the apes and their plight.
Ballot said that, in the past,, captive orangutans separated by a wall have communicated with one another via a mirror placed in front of the two enclosures. Using Web cams and computer screens is an extension of that, she said.
She stressed that only orangutans who show a natural interest and aptitude will take part. The park has 13 orangutans among its collection of apes.
There is still work to be done to set up the Internet connection. "We need to find ape-proof cables and screens," Ballot said, adding that the zoo hopes to have the orangutans online by the end of this year or early 2007.
So next time you run into someone in a chatroom and think "what a baboon," think twice: it just might be.
