Every year a competition is held to find the girl with the greatest depth of knowledge over many fields of study. The winner is crowned Miss Understanding by draping a sash around her from her neck to her waist.
The current Miss Understanding is Rosanna Davison from the Republic of Ireland. She is the daughter of the popular musician Chris de Burgh.
The contest has long been accused of sexism as men are not allowed to enter.
