The Perth class multi-role stealth frigates are the latest frigates to enter into service with the Royal Australian Navy, and are multi-mission derivatives of the French Navy's La Fayette class frigate. They are the definitive replacement for the Adelaide class frigates, and are capable in anti-air warfare, anti-surface warfare, and anti-submarine warfare.
