The trinity is a powerful concept in all forms of christianity. This line references this as well as prefiguring the later track Multitude of Casualties, in which the same character is getting high and 'hoping for a vision quest'.
An economical line which connects many of the albums main themes; faith, drugs and crime (in this case theft).
